Time passes as you sit composing your thoughts;
You compose; leaves decompose;
enriching the soil; food for the roots; new leaves in bud; and the circle of life is reborn.

Dear R, That's so great. It is a first too, a complimentary poem to the poem, as if two variations on the same idea, inspired by the same image. Love it.

Kalyan, thanks, really appreciated.

**********

Ce sont des arbres du temps;
Et le temps devient une chaise,
Noueuse et solide, robuste comme le chêne.
Assieds-toi;
Prends racine,
Fais le point,
Pendant que les pensées mortes
Sont déversées,
Comme les feuilles.......
****************
Ça y est, rapide et pas du tout mal. Qu'est-ce t'en penses maintenant?

The pictures of the roots really struck me Stewart along with the poem which speaks to me of the cycle of life and the natural law of things that just quietly, silently goes on. Its a blessing to be able to sit quietly and just take stock, hopefully find the balance,acknowledge the important things that keep us rooted, yet allow us growth.. Great postxx Auds

It's good to have you back. No comment on the poem - you know it's not my "forte"... but I get the idea and I love the photos - it looks like a Ficus tree, like that giant one at the botanical garden near Príncipe Real, could it be?
